Home from Trip 1
We missed this face...
We even missed this face...
We missed doing this...
and I can't wait to show you pictures of the two faces we're missing now.... although that will have to wait at least until Thursday (when, hopefully, our MOWA letter will get to the court).
The trip was hard and wonderful. The kids were really scared because they don't have any idea what is going on, and they only speak Sidamignia so the nannies have been unable to explain what is about to happen or why these odd looking people are all of the sudden a part of their lives. We are working on that. But... we caught some glimpses. Just little, jewel like pieces of who they will be once they have a place in this world to call their own again. And they will be oh so easy to love. We want them home (although we have decided that we'd like to try teleportation... or maybe even magic, because we really don't know how we are going to make it on the 16 hour flight) so that we can begin in earnest. We want start learning how to be a family of five. We want to find our groove. And while we are more sure than ever that this will be one of the hardest things we will ever do, we are also more sure than ever that this can be great. Really, spectacularly great.
