Talking about depressing things, right? Not all gloom here. We've been doing lots of fun stuff.
For example...
Camping.
Hana Yenenesh turned 6. She asked for a birthday cake that looked like a wedding cake and tasted like watermelon. So... yeah. My mom delivered. Cause she's awesome like that. Fresh flowers, watermelon cake and frosting and all. So good. So exciting. At some point their feet got giant. When did that happen?
Stewie's dying process was pretty horrific. And necessitated redoing our floor. We were planning on doing it anyway, but moved our plans up a bit. We are excited to no longer have carpet in the kitchen.
We used to have bifold doors here but they keep breaking so we thought we'd try curtains. Too sheer, do you think? It will force us to keep the laundry room clean at least...
And... well... You know how you're always supposed to wait a while before adding a new pet after one dies? Yeah. I agree. But Rosie was a mess. Super lonely. And we kinda wanted something happy to happen. And there was this puppy that was free and needing a home and.. well.. we got a puppy. She is a lab/white shepard cross. Named Guinevere Matilda. I liked Matilda better but was over ruled. She's cute and fun and kind of a nice diversion for all of us.
Not that a diversion is all she is, obviously, but it is nice to have a baby in the house, even one of the hairy variety.
Congrats on the furry one! Here's to a spring full of fun.
